In 1957, Andy Blythe began his first business venture, A Lion Service Station in the town of Booneville, AR. From there Andy was always involved with the automobile industry, managing UniRoyal Tire Stores and then selling new cars until 1974 when he went out on his own with $1500 and a couple of old cars. In 1977 the business moved to its present location and has grown from a 25 unit store to a 250 unit store. The principles of business Andy used and taught to his son, Randy were these, #1 A man's word is his bond, #2 Treat everyone fairly and as you would hope they would treat you - Those two simple principles are still applied today. In 1974, Randy began cleaning cars for his dad after school and progressed to the eventual owner of the business in 1989. Over the years the store has grown and progressed, culminating with several awards. In 2000 we had the honor of being named the State's Quality Dealer of the Year by the State Dealer Association. The following year we were honored with the National Nomination, 1 of only 19 dealers nationwide. We didn't win but were very pleased with the nomination.
Our family has over the years has been supportive of the local Interfaith Community PreSchool, the local chapter of Special Olympics, and the Fort Smith School System. In 2003 our business was named the City's Partner in Education for its scholarship program based on perfect attendance at Fort Smith Northside High School. Over the past three years we have been pleased to assist over fifty graduating seniors with their enrollment expenses to college. Just this year the Blythe family was honored as Fort Smith's Family of the Year.
In summation, we work hard, enjoy our business and all the new people we meet, and we try hard to give something back to our community. Without the blessings of God none of the success over the past 30 years would have been possible and we thank Him for that everyday.
Thanks for visiting our website and I hope your enjoyment of the automobile hobby brings a smile to your face too!
Randy
